Artist's description:Trying to convey the form of muscles moving beneath smooth skin is a wonderful challenge. What most attracted me to this pose was the over all grace and beauty counterbalanced by the evident strength of the dancers muscles. Her hands remain wonderfully relaxed through out.The painting is based on the wonderful Mexican dancer Made Leon Sosa, who I'm endlessly grateful to for her inspiration and generosity.The painting itself is professionally framed in a painted wood, dark grey, 55 mm thick, with a clip on the back for hanging.
